Jon "Stugotz" Weiner

Jon Weiner, known professionally as Stugotz, is an American sports talk radio host based in Miami, Florida. After interning with Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks and New York Rangers, Weiner relocated to South Florida, where he accepted internships with the Miami Marlins and Miami Dolphins. He was part of the founding group behind WAXY (AM), better known as 790 The Ticket in South Miami.

During his early producing days, Weiner adopted the on-air persona Stugotz, a nickname inspired by a mix-up involving NFL players Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne, and referencing Tony Soprano's boat The Stugots on HBO's "The Sopranos."

Weiner is best known for his long-running partnership with Dan Le Batard, co-hosting "The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz" for more than 20 years. The show began on local Miami radio and later became nationally syndicated on ESPN Radio. The program features commentary on sports news, interviews with athletes and analysts, and pop culture discussions. Weiner and Le Batard were ranked among the top sports talk show hosts in America by Talkers.com and Barrett Sports Media. The show's podcast version became ESPN's leading sports audio offering in listener engagement and downloads, accumulating tens of millions of downloads annually. The Miami New Times named Weiner the Best AM Radio Personality, and his popularity led to appearances on ESPN television programs such as "First Take" and "Highly Questionable."

Throughout the show's run, Weiner developed recurring segments like the "Sports Whisperer" and "Weekend Observations," collaborating with producer Mike Ryan Ruiz. He has discussed the evolution of his on-air persona, noting the balance between his comedic character and his original ambitions as a straightforward host.

In addition to his radio career, Weiner expanded into publishing with "Stugotz's Personal Record Book: The Real Winners and Losers in Sports," released by Random House Publishing. The book features a foreword by Dan Le Batard and contributions from various sports personalities. It received positive feedback from sports media figures including Dan Patrick, Adam Schefter, and Joe Buck.

After his tenure with The Dan Le Batard Show, Weiner considered leaving the media industry but ultimately pursued new opportunities. He entered a long-term, multiplatform partnership with iHeartMedia, launching a weekday afternoon program on FOX Sports Radio, broadcast nationwide from South Florida. The Stugotz Podcast Network also debuted with iHeartPodcasts, featuring original sports talk programming such as "Stugotz and Company" and "God Bless Football." Weiner continues to be a prominent figure in sports radio, podcasting, and publishing, maintaining a strong presence in the sports media industry.
